Ya'll I wanted to stand before you and talk at great length about Challenge Air. Since,
that is not possible let me take a few moments in this brief message. Challenge Air for Kids and Friends is Saturday, OCTOBER 20, starting at 8:30 a.m. it will be held at the
Atlantic F.B.O. Hangar #14 at 5901 Phillip J. Rhoads Ave. at Wiley Post Airport. We are expecting 100 children with limited abilities to come to fly airplanes. If we have the full 15
airplanes and pilots it will be a very full day. The most efficient method for loading and unloading planes is to have a team of the 3 volunteers per plane. While this is not a
difficult task to accomplish it can be very emotional. IT is very rewarding. I have created a sign-up sheet, attached and if you will circulate that sheet at you club meetings and FAX
it back to me by September 1, I would certainly appreciate it. Also, I am looking for financial support for Challenge Air as well. If you clubs can contribute a $100, or if you
can pass the hat I would love you for the effort.
Even though we have great sponsorship, the cost of fuel and bringing crews in from
across the country gets more and more costly. Your help and your consideration are most appreciated. My granddaughter has limited abilities. She will be undergoing surgery
again this month. Challenge Air has given her such drive and hope and spirit. I can only wish the same for every child with limitations. THANKS, and I'll see you on the 8th.
